La isla del encanto también se necesita Cristo.
Puerto Rico is a small Caribbean island only 100 miles long and 35 miles wide. 3.7 million people cram into this small island making it 2nd in population density in the entire United States. Boriquens are culturally Catholic and have experienced a recent rise in Jevoha's Witness, Mormon, Islam and Buddism, as well as African and Taíon religious practices.
Bringing the gospel to Puerto Rico is an amazing experience. There are several service opportunities available to adult and youth groups. Puerto Rico is a US Territory and does not require a passport for travel - yet Puerto Rico is so unique and rich in heritage, it may as well be a country in and of its own. Spanish is the primary language, yet many Boriquens speak or understand English.
Show the love of Christ through service and sacrifice, grace and mercy... to the woman you meet who tells you that her church closed their doors to her because she is a divorcee; to the man you meet who is not welcomed at church because he smokes; to people who worship the virgin Mary instead of the Holy Son of God she mothered; to the many others deceived by Satan who don't know that Jesus Christ is merciful, graceful and forgiving.
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
